Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, WV Primary Election Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Election Day, the Monday before Thanksgiving through the Friday after Thanksgiving, and the Friday before Christmas through the Friday after New Year’s Day

Parking

Parking permits are available for museum visitors. Please contact the museum at 304.293.4609 or wattsmuseum@mail.wvu.edu to request a permit for Lot 41. 

Parking is also available at WVU Coliseum for $1.25/day and at the Student Recreation Center for $1.25/hour. 

WVU’s PRT system provides transportation to the Evansdale Campus during the academic year. The Mineral Resources Building, where the Watts Museum is located, is directly across from the Evansdale PRT Station.

Driving directions from Interstate 79:

Directions From Interstate 68:

Follow Interstate 68 to Interstate 79. Merge onto Interstate 79 North at Exit 148. Take Interstate 79 North to the Star City/West Virginia University exit (Exit 155) and follow the directions above.

    • Parking permits are available for visitors of the Watts Museum. Please call 304.293.4609 in advance of your visit to reserve a parking permit for your vehicle. Permits are not needed on Saturdays. Visitors may also park in the Coliseum parking lot (no permit necessary) and take the shuttle or walk to the Mineral Resources Building.
